Guidance and Counselling refers to a range of learning experiences that are put in place to assist students in making choices about their lives. These choices may be related to a personal matter, educational decisions or career pathways. At our school, students have access to these services through both timetabled class time and individual appointments with our career guidance and counselling staff.
In relation to Educational and Career Guidance our school is very privileged to be part of the Trinity Access Programme (TAP) and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Access Programme which both support students through offering them workshops in preparation for their leaving certificate and inviting them on campus to experience different college courses and assist them in the application process for college. Both of these programmes are invaluable in developing students self esteem and their smooth transition into third level education.
